Hello hello! Is this thing on? I have to check, since I haven't been here since July 2023! And what better way to get my feet wet than by answering some monthly musing questions about summer?! What the heck, I'm jumping right in!
1. Favorite thing about Summer 2025?
Our road trip from NJ to Colorado (and back), visiting my friends there, seeing some moose, Wentworth Con, and just relaxing days
2. Favorite thing I ate this summer?
Cheese curds! When in WI in June, we stopped by Mar's Cheese Castle and they had sooo many different flavors of cheese curds so we picked some up with some sausage sticks and they were delicious!
3. Movies I saw
Final Destination: Bloodlines
Thunderbolts*
Materialists
Superman
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
4. Books I read
Summer Sisters - Judy Blume
We Were Liars - E. Lockhart
Yours Truly - Abby Jimenez
Great Big Beautiful Life - Emily Henry
Brief Chronicle of Another Stupid Heartbreak - Adi Alsaid
Heartbones - Colleen Hoover
Now You See Us - Kaur Balli Jaswal
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - Holly Jackson
5. Ready for fall or hold onto summer?
I ALWAYS want to hang on to summer, it's my favorite season!
6. What's different about summer schedule than the rest of the year?
Definitely work; we get to work remotely 3 days/week as opposed to during the rest of the year. Also it's our down time, so not as stressful or busy.
7. How do you take a break/relax in summer?
Reading and spending time on my deck, or going to the movies when it's super-hot. Hoping to get a beach day in at least once but it's either been a heat wave or pouring rain all summer!
8. Any trips on the calendar for the rest of the summer?
Hmm... I don't think so. Just the Jersey Shore for the day (hopefully!)
9. Any summer concerts this year?
I really had to think about this one, but surprisingly no!
10. When does summer end in your world?
When school starts, typically right before or after Labor Day.
