ABC's of Spring

I don't know how it is by you, but it does NOT feeling like Spring in NJ. No matter, today I found some inspiration from Amanda and I'm sharing my ABC's of Spring! Some of these are goals rolled over from last month (the ones denoted with an asterisk), some from my 101 list which ends in September, some are new goals, and some are Spring bucket list items. I figured instead of making 2 different lists/ posts, I'd just roll them into one!

Albums (101 goal)- I have photo albums, and I have photos. I need to put them together lol.

Blogger date in NYC!

Craft beer festivals!

Dentist appointment*

Eyebrows- clean up, reshape and learn how to fill them in

Fix wireless printer*

Gallery wall- I have frames, I just need to fix the damn printer so I can print some recent photos!

High Line- this has been on my Spring bucket list for at least 2 years. I really want to get there!

Iphone 8- my 16GB iPhone 6 is on its last leg. I attempted to just get the battery replaced but after waiting 3 hours, they told me that there was water damage and they could only replace it for an additional $300. Say whaaaaat? Um, I have a free upgrade, so that's what I'm going to do.

Jigsaw puzzle (101 goal)- Blue and I started doing one 2 years ago (ha!), but she got tired of doing it and would get aggravated. I still have it though and would like to complete and frame it.

Keebler's Birthday! Old man is turning 6!

Live music - I already have 3 concerts coming up just next month, P!nk, Brandi Carlile, and Bon Jovi. I've never seen any of these artists live before and I'm so excited!

Movies with MoviePass- Blue finally got hers in the mail (after 2 months of waiting and harrassing them), but I was able to read A Wrinkle in Time while we waited, so going to see that tomorrow!

New driver's license- mine's up in May. I'm still debating whether I want a new picture or not.

Obtain a new scale* (101 goal)

Pedicure

Quality time with mom for Mother's Day

Redecorate my living room with a new couch and rug* (101 goal)

Set up my Echo Dot and Alexa-fy my apartment*

Take a class (101 goal)- Some ideas include a wine pairing, cocktail mixology, cooking, chocolate making, or woodworking (if I can find one locally).

Update my resume fo reals (101 goal)

Visit Citi Field for a Phillies/Mets game... it's tradition!

Work conference/vacation- I'm still waiting for confirmation on this one, but if it goes through I'll be heading to sunny Long Beach, CA in May! Fingers crossed!

eXamine Spring wardrobe; pull out and purge as necessary

Yelp reviews- I'm going to set this one low at 15 or 5/month, for starters.

Zoo! (101 goal) - another one that has been on my bucket list for quite some time!

What are some of your goals or bucket list items for Spring?

My Current Makeup Favorites

One of my 101 goals was to find my "holy grail" in make-up products, and by George, I think I've done it! I can't say it's my "daily" makeup, because I don't wear makeup every day. Most days, I'm lucky if I put gloss on, and I'm okay with that. But if I'm going out out, like for a date night or night out where I know there will be lots of photos, this is what I put on.

Face Primer: NYX Studio Prefect Photo-Loving Primer. Honestly, I have 0 experience with trying different ones. This one was recommended somewhere and seems to work when I remember to put it on!

Concealer: Sephora's Bright Future gel-serum concealer in Creme Caramel (13). I literally walked up to a salesperson in Sephora and asked her to help me find a concealer that was easy to apply and actually matched me. Enter this gel-serum. It's like magic; the sponge tip applicator makes it better able to just add a touch, it blends easily and covers extremely well. I can wear this alone when I need to cover up a blemish or with other products. I always carry this with me.

Foundation: My absolute favorite is Maybelline's Fit Me Collection in Toffee (330). I usually mix some of the liquid concealer with a drop of moisturizer for smoother application. A new-to-me favorite is Maybelline's Super Stay Better Skin powder foundation in Rich Tan (80). I received this in one of my beauty boxes, and though I prefer liquid concealers to powder ones, this one with salicylic acid actually helps with acne while it's on. The sponge applicator that it comes with works great for applying it evenly, and it matches me really well. Win!

Blush: MAC Blush in Flirt n' Tease. It's discontinued, but I found it on Ebay and bought stock. It's the perfect natural looking flushed cheeks look and I love the slight shimmer it adds too.

Eye Primer: The coveted Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, obvi.

Eyeshadow: For on the go, I like the e.l.f. baked trio in Peach Please. Otherwise, I've been using the Urban Decay Naked palette for years. I love the colors and the slight shimmer. I think it's old or I need to change/wash the brush though because recently when I wear it, my left eyelid gets swollen the next day. Like, Quasimoto-scary puffy. It doesn't hurt, but it's definitely unpleasant. And even though I may love the colors, I certainly don't use half of them. I'm in the market for a smaller palette that's easier to carry around.

Eyeliner: I like the Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Black, but sometimes it smudges even when I use the primer. Then I tried Blue's eyeliner and WOW. Estee Lauder's Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner in Blacked Black stays put for hours, and the application is smooth and more concise.

Mascara: I'm not married to any particular mascara. I like Too Faced Better Than Sex because it doesn't clump and makes my lashes look longer. I also like Maybelline's Volum' Express The Falsies Push Up Drama for maximum volume.

Lips: For everyday, I just wear Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm, which feels more like a gloss. For nighttime date nights/going out, I love Revlon's Absolutely Fabulous in Temptress. For daytime, I like Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs in Maple Kiss.

Setting Spray: Just like with primer, I often forget setting spray altogether, especially since I'm usually in a rush and apply it too soon after I apply my mascara, causing it to leave a lovely bit under my eyes. I own the e.l.f. Makeup Mist and Set and it seems to get the job done. Also the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater smells lovely and feels refreshing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see, most of my products are drugstore brands. For me, these work great and I don't feel the need to spend a ton on makeup when I hardly ever wear it anyway. The only department store products I've owned or used were purchased for me as gifts (except that eyeliner, though it may be discontinued? Why else would Walmart sell Estee Lauder?!).

Show Us Your Books

Yay for Show Us Your Books Day! I changed things up and put these in the order I liked them this time. I'm currently struggling through White Houses by Amy Bloom for Erin's Challenge category "Book with House/Home in the title," but once I finish it I'll only have my freebie book left so I'm really looking forward to your recommendations! Here's what I read this month.

And Every Morning The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer- Fredrik Bachman: 5 Stars
library hardback

Image result for and every morning the way home gets longer and longer

This novella is beautiful. I was a little confused when I started it because the scenery kept changing, but once I understood what was happening and where they were, it all made sense and I was able to truly enjoy it. I can't say much else without giving it away because it's super short (96 pages), but it's one of those books that I want to own and re-read, and I haven't said that about any book in a really long time, especially since I don't buy books anymore and have never re-read anything.

Piper- Jay Asher: 4 Stars
library paperback

Image result for piper jay asher

This was the first first graphic novel I've actually finished. It's a retelling of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, but since I barely remember that fairy-tale, I wouldn't be able to tell you what details were added or subtracted. I would say that this was much darker than I remember; people died were murdered, there was a lot of deception with the governing townspeople, and even a bit of romance, and the visuals seriously helped with that, especially since one of the main characters was deaf. People who remember the original  may not like it as much as I did, but I thought this was a great entry book into graphic novels because it was a short, easy-to-follow read.

The Mothers- Brit Bennett: 3 Stars
library e-book

Image result for the mothers brit bennett

I feel like I missed something because all I've seen were rave reviews about this one. The plot was predictable (particularly the love triangle) but I persevered because I was waiting for some big twist or "click" that never came. I liked the first half and thought that it seemed realistic, but it was all downhill when Nadia came back from college. I didn't understand any of the decisions she, Luke or Aubrey made in the second half. I didn't like the Mothers sections at all either; I feel like they were a bunch of condescending, gossipy, churchy old people who looked down on the struggles of others in their community. And I really didn't like the ending. What starts out as beautifully written turns completely creepy and uncomfortable, or maybe I just didn't "get" it.
"We see the span of her life unspooling in colorful threads and we chase it, wrapping it around our hands as more tumbles out. She's her mother's age now. Double her age. Our age. You're our mother. We're climbing inside of you."

Here Comes the Sun- Nicole Dennis-Benn: 3 Stars
library e-book

Image result for here comes the sun nicole dennis benn

Where? Where the hell is the sun? This story was so depressing! Everyone was just so awful and messed up; even the characters you think you're rooting for turn out to be terrible, ugly, and greedy. The story held my attention but it was really tough to stomach some of the hard truths revealed throughout it, especially since it was set in 1994 which isn't really that long ago. And though I understood the need for dialect and it did make it more realistic, I found it distracting because I had to keep re-reading those bits.
"So she t'ink she is big shot now, eh, working in di hotel. Look pon har, nuh. Thirty years old an' no man, no children. Har pumpum mussi dry up."

Tiny Beautiful Things: Love and Life Advice from Dear Sugar- Cheryl Strayed: DNF
library e-book

Image result for tiny beautiful things cheryl strayed

This may have been a DNF due to timing and/or format. I just wasn't feeling it last month, and the advice started becoming mundane and repetitive. I also think I would have finished it if I read it in physical book form, and little by little over time. If I had read a few columns, put it down and digested, and went back to it another day for more. I tried that method in e-book format, even renewing it for added time, but it just wasn't working for me. There were a lot of gems in it though, like the quote above, and I appreciated her brutal honesty in the advice she was giving.

All About Skincare

I mentioned on Friday that one of my March goals is to continue my morning and evening skin routine. "But Dani," you may ask, "you didn't HAVE a routine!" And you would be correct; I didn't. I was floundering, and my face was paying the price. I won't lie, I wasn't doing anything before this. Makeup wipes sure, but no cleanser, rarely moisturizer, and... serum? Wtf is that? I'd see all your lovely posts praising skin and beauty products, would buy them, and then either forget about them completely or was confused as to what it actually did or when and how to use it. I got a free sample of toner and was like, "but when 'in the process' does this thing go on?" I thought I was a lost cause. So I started researching products and other people's routines, and finally figured out one that works for me.

In the mornings:

1. I switch between two different cleansers: Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash and Garnier Smoothing  Cream Cleanser. (Not a fan of the Bliss, as it does not foam, but I'm trying to finish it.)

2. Toner: A new addition because hey, I had it. I'm using this Oil of Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner. I'm not sure what it does, but the directions were clear (after cleanser, before moisturizer), and it adds like 2 seconds to my "routine" so why not?

3. Moisturizer: My holy grail for daytime is Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer with SPF 30 because it has SPF and it helps even out skin tone.

4. Facial Mist: I added this one because ya'll bloggers said I should. Again, I have no idea what this is supposed to do, but it feels nice, smells lovely, and only take a second to put on.

In the evenings: I had to set an alarm on my phone to stay on top of this. Usually I'd just read or watch TV until it was bedtime, and then it was lights out. So I set an alarm for a half hour before bedtime to "do my face."

1. Cleanser: I really like using Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser in the evenings, but I'll also use the Garnier one mentioned above if my face seems pretty clear.

2. Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask: I tried this on a whim because it looked cool and won a "Best of Beauty" award. It's supposed to diminish acne and help skin heal itself within 30 days. And it's easy to use- you put it on after you wash your face, turn it on with the attached activator button (which also keeps a tab on how many times you've used it), it lights up for 10 minutes, and then turns itself off. It doesn't feel hot on your skin and itsn't uncomfortable in any way. I took a pic of my skin before using it, but forgot to take after shots. I'm not sure if it's because I started actually washing my face and doing alllthethings or if it's the mask, but my skin does appear clearer and smoother, and I haven't even used it the full 30 days yet. You have to buy a new activator every 30 days, but it's only $15 which doesn't seem too steep since it actually works.

3. Heavy moisturizer: Maybe I should have started this post with "Hey! I got a bunch of free stuff so I started using it and it's working!" The two I'm switching between currently are L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Moisturizer and Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream

As needed:

1. I'm a big fan of masks. I use Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment mask every Sunday night. Around mid-week, I'll do another mask- right now I'm using Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask because I found it half price at TJ Maxx. I'm a fan. I also really like the Lush Mask of Magnaminty mask but I ran out.

2. I usually shower at night but if I'm staying at Blue's place, I take morning showers. Instead of cleanser, I use Clean and Clear Exfoliating 60-second Shower Face Mask. I love the tingly feeling!

3. Scrubs- I'm weary of scrubs because of my sensitive skin. The only two I use with any regularity are Oil of Olay Daily Facial Cloths because they are gentle enough and they have little scrubbies (not beads) and activate a superb foam when you add water, and the tried and true St. Ives Apricot Scrub, which I've used for years with no negative effects.

4. Makeup Remover- When a makeup wipe just won't do or when I wear dark eye makeup, I depend on Clinique Take Off The Day

5. In the event of a stray pimple or bout of acne, I dab a bit of tea tree oil on a cotton pad. But when I need to pull out the big guns, I use Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10. I recommend this to everyone. I love it because it's medicated but gentle enough to use on sensitive skin and works really fast (usually within 24 hrs for me).

I'm still learning and experimenting. I picked up these eye masks after Amanda (from Voyage of a MeeMee- anyone remember her?) raved about them and I used them maybe once before pushing them to the back of my bathroom shelf. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between moisturizer and "day cream." I'm still trying to work in a "serum" as I was just informed recently that I should have starting using anti-aging/wrinkle stuff 5 years ago. I'm still wondering if witch hazel could substitute for toner or something? And what's up with miscellar water? Is that the same as make-up remover? Help a girl out!

March Goals + 101 Update

A Friday post?! Whaaaat? This is what happens when I get not one, but TWO snow days! Woop woop! The above pic was taken from my porch on Wednesday night. But full disclosure: this post was 3/4 drafted by Tuesday night, so not really all that amazing, but I was able to complete the last 3 of my March goals on Wednesday, so yay you get pics! And WOW...

Image result for step brothers gif
this makes me chuckle every time I see it

Kidding! But seriously, there's SO MUCH MORE SPACE (pics below)! I lucked out with my apartment- I have maaaaaad closet space. A coat closet, linen closet, "other" hallway closet, and then 2 double door bedroom closets. It's crazy. But then I throw shit in there and forget about it because I can. I was able to throw out 2 big bags of garbage, donate 3 boxes worth of "stuff" (and things), recycle one large box of papers, and post/sell other things (I sold 20 of those tiny perfume samples for $15- whaaa?! Why would anyone want that? Apparently 15 people in 3 hrs before I marked it as sold!). ANYway before jumping into March, let's review February!

February Goals
  • Dentist appointment- I tried, but apparently they never received my paperwork from the insurance company, so I couldn't go. SIGH.
  • Schedule iPhone battery fix- Yes! I didn't realize it was such a process though. You call, they take down your info, and then you gotta wait two weeks until they get your battery in stock... redic. So I'm going on Saturday.
  • Purchase a new scale- I forgot this was on here. Oops.
  • Get taxes done- Check!
  • Continue working on Erin's Reading Challenge- Yup! 8/10!
  • Upload, organize and delete phone pictures- there's no storage on there, again. sigh. - Yes!
  • Book Florida vacation for friend's wedding- Again, I tried. Waiting to hear back from the bride about hotels before purchasing flight so we can bundle it.
  • Book another getaway- Nope. I'm waiting to hear back from Bossman about a work conference that I'd turn into a vacation, otherwise I think we'll do a long weekend in NOLA.
  • Clean out one closet- Check!
5/9... at least it's more than half? (Also I'm surprised I only had 9. What an odd number.) At least the ones I didn't complete were out of my control though. Onwards!

March Goals

  • Get to the dang dentist!
  • Continue morning and night skin routines
  • Finish Erin's Reading Challenge/ read 2 books
  • Get a suitable area rug for the living room
  • Back up iPhone photos on computer and Amazon Photo (free storage for all Prime members!) before battery fix
  • Set up Echo Dot (which I apparently owned and found hidden in my closet!)
  • Buy new boots
  • Fix my wireless printer
  • Purchase a scale
  • Book Florida
  • Book another vacation
  • Purchase (and utilize) Moviepass- It's been purchased, just waiting for it to come in the mail.
  • Clean out pantry- I actually got this done on Wednesday since I had a snow day! (Sorry, forgot to take pics)
  • Clean out another closet- See below!
  • Clean out the bathroom cabinets- See below!

101 in 1001 Update

Back in December 2015 I decided to start a new 101 in 1001 challenge and actually try to accomplish more than the 33 items I had done on my previous one.  The thing is, with less than a year left, I realized that a lot of my travel goals are completely unattainable. And some of my "goals" are no longer relevant or I just don't care for anymore. So I changed some, but left them on as strikethroughs so I wouldn't forget, and didn't count them in the 101. I may try to change/add a few more realistic ones, but here's where I am currently. To check out the full list, click here!

Start Date: December 12, 2015

End Date: September 8, 2018
Completed: 52/101 (as of 3/8/2018)
In Progress 15/101

Things completed since my last check-in:

Gamble in Las Vegas - went for my bday in December and forgot to blog about it, oops!
Take a cooking class - went with my mom during the fall and forgot to count it
Pay off  two student loans completely - WOOT! One left!
Figure out a skincare routine- sharing it on Monday!
Create a (new) budget and stick to it
Frame Grandpa's flag
Find holy grail skin and hair care products

In Progress: 15/101:

Blog about progress quarterly

Make 12 new recipes: 6/12? I think?

Finish/post or discard all blog drafts

Get to my goal weight

Read all the books I currently own but haven’t yet read 31/70 ?

Read 101 books (52/101): You can see what I've read so far here

Put all photos into albums
I just found several BOXES of photos hidden in my closet, so this is still in progress.

Watch a new-to-me movie starting with every letter of the alphabet 24/26
Missing O and Q, but already have movies picked out for these letters!

Get my apartment and possessions 100% organized
I'm about halfway done with this one. I need to go through all the crap I have stored in the basement that no longer serves any purpose other than taking up space.

Organize all of my music files, delete/update as necessary
I've uploaded all of these onto my laptop, and then left them there. I need to sort, delete old songs I'm tired of and broken links, edit song titles, etc.

Clean out my closets and purge
I did this awhile ago, but I'm still working on the "purge" part as I'm trying to sell a lot rather than just throw things out or donate them.

Completely use up or otherwise get rid of all excess makeup
I've accrued quite a bit of makeup while I've been trying to find out what works, but I still want to use it up or toss it.

Enroll in a Graduate Program or professional coursework/certification
I'm waiting to hear back from my boss about a certification course this May. Fingers crossed!

Update resume
Another work in progress. I've done several drafts and enlisted the help of some friends though, so hopefully this one will be completed soon!

Make and go to all doctor appointments
I just need to get myself to the dentist and I can cross this one off!

What goals are you working on this month?

Currently: March

Currently I'm writing this from the comfort of my couch after sleeping in super late because work is closed for another snow day! Though right now there's only light rain and high winds, NJ is in a state of emergency as heavy snow is expected. Currently I'm drinking coffee, heating some maple brown sugar oatmeal, and enjoying the smell of that mixed with BBW Sunlit Cedar (which I'm noticing is no longer available? Huh). Anyway, here are some other things going on with me currently.

Reading: White Houses- Amy Bloom

Watching: Besides my usual shows I just watched Get Out, Lady Bird, and Three Billboards in Ebbing, Missouri so I'd understand some of the Oscar buzz. I still don't get the hype behind Lady Bird (including why that was even her name) other than that it was written and directed by a woman. I thought the other two were REALLY well done though!

Listening To: Never Over You- Rozzi

Cooking: Nadine's "best" burritos for dinner tonight!

Working On: cleaning out my closets and spring cleaning/purging in general.

Image result for my cheeses gif
just kidding...

Buying:
everything. Lots of cleaning supplies, a few replacement items in my closet, and a new hat since this happened in a storm last Friday...and yes, that's the same hat I just posted last month. Sigh.

Feeling:
lazy, comfortable, and cozy. But looking forward to tackling a few things around the house later today. Maybe.

Loving: Snow Days!!!

Wearing: Sweats lol.

Discovering:
the Drop app. It's a free app where you automatically get points for shopping at certain stores when you use your linked credit or debit card. You can redeem the points for gift cards to other stores/websites, like Target and Amazon. I just started using it, but I like it because I don't have to actively do anything, like take a picture of my receipt or anything.

Planning: Vacation? Maybe? I'm waiting to hear back from my boss about a work conference in California (which I'd turn into a vacation tacking on a few extra days) in May, and also waiting for hotel details from my friend regarding her wedding in Key West this June. I'm not a fan of waiting.

Seeing: a lot of friends this Friday for a friend's birthday at a local hibachi restaurant!

Making: a final payment on a student loan on March 15th. I'M SO EXCITED! After that, I'll only have one student loan left to pay off.

Pretending:
that I look like that second image in real life! Though sticking to a new morning and night routine is helping to clear up my skin, so that's a plus!

What's currently going on with you?

TBB Asks: Beauty Edition

1. Eyelash Curler Yes or No? I own one, but I don't usually use it.

2. Favorite Nail Shade? In fall/winter, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. In spring/summer, OPI Bright Lights Big Color

3. Favorite Lipstick Shade? Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Teak Rose or Burt's Bees Scarlett Soaked

4. Blow Dry or Air Dry your hair? Air dry in summer, blow dry in winter.

5. Artificial Nails: Yes or No? Not since I was 18

6. Foundation: Yes or No? Not unless I'm going to some fancy event which happens maybe once a year, if that. And even then I usually mix a little bit of it with moisturizer.

7. Hair Up or Down? Usually up unless I straighten it

8. Bar Soap or Body Wash? Dove goFresh Cool Moisture bar soap

9. Bath or Shower? Shower. I tried to like baths, but I feel like I'm sitting in a cesspool of my own germs, and I can never get comfortable.

10. Favorite Body Lotion? The Body Shop's Shea Butter Duo. A lotion for the normal skin, and a heavier cream for the drier skin in one perfect jar.

11. Do you wear perfume? If so, favorite scent? Marc Jacobs Daisy, Elizabeth and James Nirvana (thanks for the rec Steph!), or J. Lo Glow

12. Do you shave your legs every day? HELL NO, not in winter. The only way I'd shave every day is if I'm on vacation or going to the beach every day because it grows back so damn quickly (sorry if that's TMI but it's true!).

13. Favorite Lip Balm? Smith's Minted Rose (in a tube, that tin version kept getting stuck)

14. How old were you when you first started wearing make-up? 3, for dance recitals. I guess regularly I wore a little bit in high school and for school dances, a lot in college, and then got really lazy and barely wear anything anymore.

Tell me some of your beauty favorites!

What's New With Me- February

As much as I tried to hibernate, February was a busy month! We kicked off the month hosting a Superbowl gathering (not party, as we only invited a few neighbors over for food and drinks). We may make this an annual thing, but nothing was planned for this year and I needed to do SOMETHING this year because my Eagles were in it to win it- and that they did! I was super excited though no one else cared lol.

The following weekend we celebrated our anniversary with an NYC date. We went to see Waitress on Broadway (while Sara Bareilles and Jason Mraz were still in it- woot!) which was even better than I thought it would be, followed by apps and cocktails at one of our favorite restaurants, Dutch Fred’s.

Have I mentioned that we really like to eat out? On Valentine’s Day we went to another favorite restaurant in NYC, Becco. I was surprised by how uncrowded it was, but that could be because our reservation was at 6. It had filled considerably by the time we rolled ourselves out. I say it like that because one of their specials are 3 types of endless table-side pastas. They change daily, but for that day they were a heart shaped beet-stuffed ravioli, a scallop scampi/linguini, and penne in red sauce. It was amazeballs, as per usual.

I was supposed to be spending the President’s Day weekend with my mom celebrating her birthday, but she stood me up. So instead I cleaned out my closet, set up my new at-home beer tap, changed shower curtain and did all the sheets/laundry, finished Fredrik Bachman's novella And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer and the graphic novel Piper by Jay Asher, checked out a new restaurant, finally watched Wonder (all the tears), and got some Keebler cuds.

Last weekend was supposed to be chill, but on Friday Blue was offered free tickets to the NY Rangers hockey game, and you don’t turn down free tickets. The game was a bust (1-4 loss), but it was fun nonetheless. Saturday was pretty gross out, but we needed some groceries and since we were out already, we decided what’s better to do on a rainy day than use our Groupon at a local distillery and brewery? On Sunday, we had brunch with some friends followed by an afternoon hanging out with Blue’s niece who was spontaneously home from school.

I'm hoping for a chill March, besides of course St. Patrick's Day shenanigans.
What's new with you?
