Pieces of Me- January 2010 Edition
I found this little game over at *Notes from the Toothfairy* and thought it looked fun, so I decided to join too!
This month....
I like: that I'm going on a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas!
I don't like: that I have to go back to work after our 12-day holiday break
I want you to know: that I'm going to start my 365 Project very soon
I've planned: to buy the stupid coffee maker that I was supposed to receive as a Christmas present
I want to say to someone special: I understand your love of "DragonAge: Origins" but I wish we would spend more time doing things together.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I wound up watching "The Blind Side" last night. It was really good, though I thought in the end the guy would go back and help his brother, but he didn't even try to think about his past, which I thought was odd because they had just reconnected.
Then I woke up at around 1, and C made "Country Breakfast"- sausage patty on a biscuit with a white creamy sauce. Yummmm. Though I should really get off my bum and start takin down our pretty (thought very dead) Christmas tree...

Day 1, 2010
So I joined National Blog Posting Month, aka NaBloPoMo.
Which means I will post once a day for a month, which brings me closer to completing my goal of finishing shit. Sah-weeet.
Last night was fun, though I'm a bit ambivalent about the beginning of a new year. I didn't bother with making any resolutions this year, because (as I never finish anything) I usually do whatever it is for a maximum of 3 months before I either forget about it or give up. So this year I am starting 101 in 1001 (see previous posts). Which is a pretty lofty idea for one who does not follow through on goals, but we shall see.
But I digress...
Last night we had another couple over for New Years celebration. I wasn't too thrilled with this idea at first because I really wanted to go to NYC to this amazing sounding loft party another friend had invited me (and C) to, but he didn't wanna go. But we played Kings Cup, my absolute favorite drinking game, and watched Times Square/Las Vegas hoopla/performances, and ate lots, and got drunk. And I realilzed the best part about staying in on a holiday is not worrying about how you are going to get home at the end of the night. Also, when you lose something (such as me misplacing my phone at some point), you know it is not gone forever. Awe.Some.
In other news, I'm watching "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" because there was a marathon on the other day, and it now lives in my DVR and is taking up entirely too much space. Even though we just got a bootleg copy of Blindside which I would much rather watch. But alas, C has the remote. And I have the laptop. And I am trying to finish shit...dammit.
It's the episode on the Greek Islands. I just witnessed a bunch of guys drink alcohol from a gas can, skin and eat a lamb, and do some sort of Riverdance. The skinning was really really gross. I think one of the guys bit the lamb (pre-death). Ew.
