Tunery Tuesday: Bruno Mars- Just The Way You Are
I love his voice! And it's just upbeat enough to not be too sappy :)
"...every time she asks me do I look okay / I say
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile / The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are"

Being an adult is hard. Cleaning up your mistakes from when you were an adolescent/college student is even harder. But today I am happy that I am being proactive and taking the proper steps to clean up my act. Even though it may take a while... better late than never!

Meme-y Sunday

The Q's.
1. If you accidently knick a car in a parking lot..Do you leave a note or do you get the heck out of there?
Hmm...sorry, but I'm leaving.
2. Love your body or plastic surgery?
Love my body just enough to not go through that kind of pain!
3. What about your favorite blog(s) continues to drive you back?
funny, relatable, short-ish (I'm not a fan of long blocks of text), sometimes with quotes/song lyrics/ music I haven't heard
4. What percent of your blog is BS just to make your life seem more interesting than it really is?
0%. Not artificial flavoring here!
5. If you had to give up one type of meat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Veal. I don't remember the last time I had it, so I would have no problem giving it up. Does that not count? Hmm...then beef. I could do without it. Could never ever part with chicken.
6. How often to you eat out?
This summer, pretty often. But hopefully that will change once C starts working (and eating normally) again.
7. Skinny jeans or boot cut jeans?
I don't do skinny jeans. In fact, I was just thinking this morning how you have to have a very particular figure to pull them off well....like not a big booty! I'm boot cut all the way.
8. If you caught your spouse cheating would you forgive, divorce, or plan your kill?
I can't answer this honestly because it hasn't happened (thank goodness!) and I've never been married. However, I would like to believe that I wouldn't automatically divorce.

Sunday Stealing: The Majorly Personal Meme, Part Two
Cheers to all of us thieves!
21. If you were to live your life without your best friend, what would change?
Everything. Where I live, for one. How I eat (because he cooks, though I do "plan" on learning, as I've been "planning" for years now). Who I hang out with. How I spend my money (because I would be saving a lot of commuting costs, which I would put towards paying off my debt). So ya know, just about everything!
22. Tell us about a era of your life that you really miss.
College! You don't have to get up for work, you get to see your friends all the time, and hang out and party all the time (without being judged). You didn't have to worry about bills the same way, except maybe rent if you didn't live on campus, and you could just work part time, with your excuse being school, and the biggest decisions were where you were gonna live after school, and what kind of career did you want- but it's ok you can have more time to figure that out if you study abroad or go to grad school...life just seemed so much easier back then!
23. Have you ever been betrayed by someone that came as a complete surprise? Without revealing the person, if yes, tell us about it.
Yup. She was a friend. Who then decided to hook up with and date my now ex-boyfriend. So I guess that counts as 2 betrayals.
24. Do you ever think that is a good idea to hide your feelings?
Yes. Sometimes it is completely necessary. For example, if you are really upset at work- it makes everyone uncomfortable and makes you look/seem weak. Or in certain other public situations- for instance, you are at a party and your ex shows up- you don't want him/her to know that you're upset just because of them. You just look weak and vulnerable, and they don't derserve that kind of satisfaction...or (in rare cases) guilt.
25. Tell us about your favorite year when you were a student.
Graduating high school. I found out I got into my dream college by December, right around my bday, so I really didn't have to worry about the rest of the school year. And I had a nice bf, which meant no worries for prom. That was also the year I came out of my shell and performed one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers on stage in front of the whole school at the Talent Show. Good set of friends, a car, minimal drama...good times.
25. When was the last time you were in a very good mood? What caused it?
Saturday. Good friends, great, warm weather, beer, pool, music, and bonfire with s'mores! Couldn't be more perfect.
26. Have you ever had a romantic relationship with a sibling of a good friend?
Nope.
27. Tell us about the last thing that you did that you truly regret.
That would be not takeing care of my student loans right when I graduated. Or at least in the first 180 days after graduating. That was MAJOR. I just didn't realize it then and let soemone lead me to believe very very bad financial advice.
28. When did you laughed today?
The first time was on my way to work, at a funny text C sent. Second time was at lunch with my girlfriends
29. Do you trust easily?
I used to, but no, not anymore.
30. What do you care about that you wish more people would?
Hmmm... nothing I can think of right now.
31. Is it easier for you to go without food or go without sleep?
Food. I love sleep waaaay too much.
32. What non-alcohol beverage do you enjoy drinking the most?
Iced tea.
33. When you walk into a room full of strangers, generally how is your confidence?
Between 1-10, and presuming I like what I'm wearing and it's consistent with others, probably about a 7.
34. Does talking about sex with anyone but your lover make you uncomfortable?
Not at all. I talk about sex with lots of people. Not necessarily my sex life, but sex in general is fine.
35. Do you tend to believe members of the opposite sex mostly behave the same way?
Mostly, yes.
36. Did you drink any alcohol this week? If yes, what?
Coronas. Lots of them! Oh and one Red Stripe.
37. Would you ever consider being a vegetarian?
No. I love chicken way too much. And I don't care what anyone says, tofurkey and all that have nothing on real meat.
38. Do you believe that there’s always room in your heart for someone?
Yes. But I'm a hopeless romantic :)
39. Do you believe in the concept of soul mates?
Not really. I think that you can find compatibility with more than one person.
40. Last week, we had a few players criticize our victim’s questions. Which is fine to do and we value your opinion. Would you ever consider writing questions for Bud and me to post on a Sunday Stealing?
Sure!
-----------------------------------------------------
Today I'm happy that I have a wonderful BF who will take care of my drunken self, espeically when I fall asleep on the train, and he has to come and pick me up at the next train stop :S THANK YOU!
monday Minute and a Happy Day

Who was your high school Sweet Heart?
His name was Frank,... or Francesco Racanati. Sooo Italian haha. But we didn't last very long, especially since we only got together (as a couple- we were friends from freshman year) senior year and he broke up with me when I went away to college. We're still friends though. I'm actually invited to his wedding next year!
What is your favorite vegetable to eat?
Potatoes. In mashed, baked, fried, and salad forms.
Do you plan on dressing up for Halloween, if yes, what do you have in mind?
I haven't given it much thought. Maybe someone from True Blood. Or Snookie. Or the cherry pie costume I bought 2 years ago and never had an opportunity to wear!
Are you a reality show junkie? If so, what is your guilty pleasure?
Yes. We watch Hells Kitchen, Top Chef, Cake Boss, Anthony Bourdain, etc. but my guiltiest pleasure is Jersey Shore!
and finally...
What year did you graduate high school?
2002
------------------------------------------------------
Today I am happy that my boss is back from her week long vacation! I thought it would a relief when she was gone (she's a very nice boss, but when the cat is away...!), but it was so SO busy without her here, that now I'm just happy she's back!

Randomness
So I recently found out that Anna Paquin and the Brit got married this past weekend. I wanted to see her dress, and this popped up. I love how risque it is! Though I don't think they knew what "look" they were supposed to be giving....Skaarsgard looks intrigue, or questioning...like am I really allowed to hold this leg?, Paquin looks a bit bored, and Moyer looks angry and territorial.
Again, heard they just got married and wanted to see the gown. I think it's gorgeous! And she looks great, even with the baby roadblock bump. For the record, I still think she's a home wrecker...why would you date, and get pregnant with, a married man!? I mean Hellloooo, there are contraceptives and BC nowadays!
Miss Universe 2010 Winner: Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete
Ah, Miss Universe. Yes, I did watch it once i realized it was on (mid-way through the swimsuit competition). I really liked that she wore the red dress for her country's Independence Day. I don't think she really answered her question. But yes, she is very beautiful and elegant.
This is Miss Guatemala 2010, Jessica Schell. As happy as I was for Mexico, I thought Ms. Schell was waaaaay hotter.
I found Rima Fakih while looking for Miss Universe. She was Miss USA 2010. She's the USA's first Muslim winner. Hooray. What makes me mad about her, however, is that even she is against a community center for her own people.
Um, what? I don't think that makes sense. Her words: "We should be more concerned with the tragedy than religion. I totally agree with President Obama with the statement on Constitutional rights of freedom of religion," Fakih told Inside Edition.
"I also agree that it shouldn't be so close to the World Trade Center."
Ummm Miss USA, that sounds a bit contradictory. And Obama is in support of putting the mosque community center there. I'm not stating my opinions here (because I already wrote about it here), but please get your facts straight.

Want It Wednesdays- A Haircut
I have to do *something* with my hair. I really don't like it anymore. It's drab. And it takes too long to "style" and I'm lazy. Which is just a terrible situation.
Speaking of The Situation (from Jersey Shore for those who don't know, and yes I watch/love Jersey Shore...don't judge me!) .....he's seriously making $5M?!? You have got to be kidding. All he does is drink, pick up "grenades", "GTL" with "MVP" in "MIA" ....and make up even more stupid abbreviations like "IFF."
Fo reals.
But i digress.
I have semi-curly, semi-wavy, very thick, shit-brown, mid-length (a little below my shoulders), hair. I like my hair straight. It takes an hour to blow dry, and an hour to straighten (with my CHI. thank you C). That's a lot of work and time. And like I said, I'm lazy. And part of my 101 in 1001 project is a makeover. And I figure, since it's almost fall (and I love fall fashion almost as much as summer fashion), it's a good time.
So I've been thinking of going shorter. Not like, pixie-cut short, because I've always had long or longish hair, and the one time I had it cut searching for ideas:

I like the long side bang idea.
This one may be a little too short. And it's cute, but I don't think I could style it like this on a daily basis.
For the record, I'm not planning on going blond, it just so happened that these are. I would like my natural dark brown, with maybe a deep reddish glaze.
I like this, but I've had this exact cut already. And it just brings back very bad memories- I had very long hair, halfway down my back, and I cut off about 7 in. just because I wanted a change. I literally cried when I saw it. But I did donate the hair to Locks for Love, so that made me feel a little better.
Again, not sure how this would look on me. It seems a bit...voluminous...on top, and not in a good way.
This is my favorite. I especially like it because it's my natural hair texture. And I think I can get away with it curly or straight pretty easily.
Thoughts?

Tun-ery Tuesday!
*Every Tuesday(-ish), I will be posting a video or sound clip of a song I'm really diggin.*
This week, I have "Wake Up Everybody" with John Legend ft. The Roots, Common, and Melanie Fiona. Enjoy!
Wake up everybody
No more sleepin' in bed
No more backward thinkin'
Time for thinkin' ahead
The world has changed
So very much
From what it used to be
There is so much hatred
War and poverty, whoa, oh
Wake up, all the teachers
Time to teach a new way
Maybe then they'll listen
To what'cha have to say
'Cause they're the ones who's coming up
And the world is in their hands
When you teach the children
Teach 'em the very best you can
The world won't get no better
If we just let it be, na, na, na
The world won't get no better
We gotta change it, yeah
Just you and me
Wake up, all the doctors
Make the old people well
They're the ones who suffer
And who catch all the hell
But they don't have so very long
Before the Judgment Day
So wont'cha make them happy
Before they pass away
Wake up, all the builders
Time to build a new land
I know we can do it
If we all lend a hand
The only thing we have to do
Is put it in our mind
Surely things will work out
They do it every time
The world won't get no better
If we just let it be, na, na, na
The world won't get no better
We gotta change it, yeah
Just you and me
Just you and me
It's the god hour
[..]
Were we belong
I try to write a song
[..]
We're more than consumers
[..]
Wake up, everybody
Wake up, everybody
Need a little help, y'all
Yes I do, need a little help
Need a little help, y'all ay
Wake up everybody
Wake up everybody
Wake up everybody

Fashion+Weather= Feather Report
Ever wish there was someone who would pick out an outfit for you based on where you are, what you're doing (work, vacationing, girls night out, etc.), and the weather? Well now there is. I found a really cool website today called The Feather Report. It's actually an iPhone app, but there's also a website. And it does things like this:
Pairing together the perfect outfit, with a listing of where to buy each piece and the price tag.
I would like this, if it didn't have such ridiculous pricetags!! Some of the things they list are about $600! Even their "Everything under $100" section- I thought that meant you could get the whole outfit for $100...notsomuch. Each Piece was about $100!
So for this Want It Wednesday, I would like an app website (since I don't have an iPhone) where you can upload pics of pieces in your actual wardrobe, and it would put outfits together for you, also incorporating the weather. And maybe have something like "accessory suggestions".
So,...any readers could with computer programming and website design??!

My office is always cold. So today, I am very happy for my little Inst-Furnace!

Happy Days 16 & 17
Yesterday I didn't want to add a "Happy Day" to my post, because it just didn't jive (and if you read it, you can tell I wasn't very happy). And usually I don't like to post more than once a day.
But I'll make an exception today.
Yesterday, I was happy because C's cousin had a birthday dinner. And I loooooove ice cream cake!
Those lil crunchies in the middle are To.Die.For!
Today I am happy for sunshine!
Summer is my favorite season, and I really hope we have a few more occassions to soak up some rays...well at least before our vacation!
Flaky Footballers
As football season nears, I become more interested in the players, as I am in a fantasy football league. And last year I made 2nd place (with the extreme help of C)!
Yup, that's what AP is saying. He changed his hometown from Findlay, OH to Cory Rawson, OH. The best part? Cory Rawson isn't even a town. But he changed his hometown (recently) because he got mixed comments from townspeople when news hit about the possible assualts. Some said it couldn't be true, some said maybe. But what did he expect? That's pretty shitty to give up on your place of birth, and the people who supported you from your earliest beginnings, if you ask me.
Another flaky player last week: Mr. Glen Coffee.
This 23 year old basically completely wasted the San Fransisco 49er's time and money by retiring early.
Maaaannnn...you are 23 years old....what the hell are you retiring for?
Oh, that's right, you "found God" in college. Well, that's all fine and dandy, but can't you be a God-loving football player? I don't see why you have to give up one for the other.
But maybe that's just me.
But then he had some "issues" in the off-season, particularly his "sexual assault" acsusations. But now he's changed his hometown?

Intolerance Makes My Blood Boil
I am usually very against blog posts regarding politcs and religious beliefs, but I just couldn't contain myself this time, because I saw this:

That is an anti-mosque ad that is currently on NYC buses, which apparently the MTA was forced to allow because of a freedom of speech/politically correct censorship suit. If you are not aware of this now national news- there is going to be a mosque built two blocks away from the WTC site. And some groups are pissed.
All I can say is WTF?!?
I understand freedom of speech, but what about freedom of religion? Isn't that part of the "American Dream"...why so many who were persecuted for their religious beliefs in their own countries came here? And I understand that it was a very select group of Muslims who attacked the World Trade Center, but that does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists. That would be like saying because of a very select group of white people (such as the KKK, or multiple Skinhead groups) that all white people...oh excuse me, "caucasians", hate black people and want to kill them all.
The group who produced the ad (The American Freedom Defense Initiative) stated on their website that they wanted to "stop Islamization of America." Hmm. That's interesting. I've seen many different groups come to my doorstep preaching about Jesus, or God, or even Paganism/Wiccan...but no one ever came preaching about Allah or Islam. I mean, in the same respect, there are people literally trying to hand out Bibles in the streets of New York. Wouldn't that be considering trying to "Christianize" America? And yet no one stops them or says anything about them. And if it were Christinas trying to build a church, I can guarantee that there wouldn't be a problem. But a group of Muslims try to build a prayer space, to honor and pray to their God, and because it is even in the vicinity of the WTC, there's a huge national debate.
I understand, but I really wish people weren't so intolerant of each other. And I'm glad President Obama finally spoke up, albeit after the plans were finalized:

IT IS TWO BLOCKS AWAY.
IT IS NOT A FREAKIN TERRORIST TRAINING CAMP.
THEY JUST WANT TO PRAY IN PEACE!!
I understand, but I really wish people weren't so intolerant of each other. And I'm glad President Obama finally spoke up, albeit after the plans were finalized:
"Muslims "have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country," Obama said at an Iftar meal at the White House for Muslims breaking their Ramadan fast late Friday. That includes "the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan."
"This is America," Obama said, "and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country, and will not be treated differently by their government, is essential to who we are."
(For the record, I am not Muslim.)

GTKY, Sunday Stealing, and Happy Day 15

1. What kind of athlete has the hottest body?
Soccer players
2. Are you a planner or a procrastinator?
Definitely procrastinator! I think I work best under pressure ;)
3. Diet or regular (soda)?
Regular. I think diet tastes too sweet
4. What's your one "must have" for Fall?
Denim trousers. Comfy, and safe for work!
5. What's your favorite fast food restaurant?
I loved Taco Bell when they had the spicy chicken burrito, but they got rid of it. I sent in a written complaint, and signed a petition to get it back, but to no avail. Usually when I eat fast food now, it's Burger King. (Even though the king from those commercials is super creepy!)
6. What do you think is the sexiest profession for a guy?
Just one that I understand. I had an ex who had a job- it was some kind of consulting I think- even he wasn't sure of it though, and I feel like I wasn't able to connect with him on some level. I think teaching is a great job though :)
7. Did you wear braces?
No, but I wish I had. I have a gap now (it's very Madonna) that I really don't like.
8. Would you rather have a guy that's super sexy or kind?
I have to agree with Keely on this one- I think kind is sexy as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
26. What do you normally smell like?
Clean I hope.
27. Do you like Carrie Underwood?
She's ok. I'm not a huge fan of country music.
28. Been to “The Vegas”?
I don't know what "The Vegas" is. I have been to Las Vegas, when I was about 9, so I didn't get to gamble or drink. I did stay in the Luxor though, and that was nice.
29. How far away do you live from your parents?
About 2 hours.
30. Are you happy with your job?
It's ok. I'm content most of the time. Except I'm not meeting my potential, or doing anything I find important or worthwhile, or following my dream, and I hope to change that soon.
31. Where do you work and what do you do there?
I work in northern New Jersey, and I'm an Office Manager in on of the offices at a college.
32. What did you get in the mail today?
Nothing, it's Sunday!
33. How do you like your steak cooked?
Medium. I don't like it still mooing at me, or too tough to chew.
34. Britney Spears…is she back?
I don't think she'll ever come back as hot as she was in the beginning, so no. I don't think she's crazy anymore though, so that's progress.
35. What do you usually order at Taco Bell?
Well, I used to love their spicy chicken burrito, but they took it off the menu. So now I order the fiesta burrito, when I go (which is not even half as often as I used to).
36. Have you ever sat all the way through Gone With the Wind?
Haven't even tried. I was going to though, but after that question I'm rethinking it.
37. Have you ever been to Mt Rushmore?
I have not.
38. Is it just me, or was The Marine (w/John Cena) a really horrible movie?
Sorry, I never saw it.
39. Are surveys like the cocaine of myspace?
I don't know, I haven't been on Myspace in a very, very long time. I deleted my account years ago.
40. Where is your favorite place (that you have actually been to)?
Maui, Hawaii.
41. What is your favorite candle scent?
Cotton and fresh bamboo.
42. Do you believe places can really be haunted?
Yes, but I don't believe I've ever been to a place that was haunted.
43. Do you smoke cigarettes?
Technically, no.
44. Have you ever been to NYC or LA?
Yes. I grew up only 20 minutes outside of NYC, and I currently work 10 minutes away, so yes, I go there quite often. I ahve never been to LA, or California for that matter.
45. How many states have you been to where all you saw was the airport?
I don't think any.
46. Do you think 50 questions is enough?
Yes, but I'll continue if there are more.
47. Are you currently planning a trip?
Not planning, per se. Just waiting. C and I are going to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a wedding in late September. We've already booked our trip, and just got the last thing I needed (a new bikini) today!
48. Is Ryan Seacrest gay? Should anyone care?
I'm going to say no, he's not gay, and no, no one should care.
49. Do you take anti-depressants?
Nope.
50. What do you think about space travel?
I think it happened. Though I don't spend too much time thinking about it.

[Island Beach State Park, NJ]
Today I went to the Jersey Shore with C. We went to Seaside Heights (where the show Jersey Shore is being filmed) and we actually almost literally ran into one of the cast members, JWoww, as we were walking out of a store! We had a great time playing video games, going on rides, eating some great food. And C got me a perfect, very cute bathing suit for our Mexico trip! Then we went to Island Beach State Park where we took a long walk along the water picking seashells :)
All of that made me very, very happy!

Saturday 9: Superstitions and Happy Day 14

1. What are you superstitious about?
Friday the 13th, black cats, a ringing ear, a twitchy left eye...probably a few others that I can't remember right now...I'm pretty superstitious
2. What’s the story behind one of your scars?
I have a scar on the inside of my left arm right from when I was piggybacking on someone's back and they dropped me on gravel
3. What are three things that you would rather be doing right now?
Watching Eat, Pray, Love (just a few more hours though!), at the beach, or shopping
4. What do you do when you're bored?
Watch TV, blog, read other blogs, call people, or actually do whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing
5. What's your favorite thing to do? Why?
Travel. I enjoy new experiences and learning about different culture and seeing all there is to see
6. What do you do when you're lonely?
Pretty much the same thing I do when I'm bored, with a few more phone calls
7. How do you measure the passing of time in life?
A clock and a calendar
8. What would constitute "the perfectly lived day" for you?
Good food, good drinks, good company, and a sunny, warm day
9. If you knew you were going to die in a year, what would you do in your final days?
Say anything I meant to say to anyone, write a Will, and spend time with loved ones
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't enjoy cleaning, but I really like it when my home is clean, organized, and smelling fresh!

watch : Burlesque
Has anyone heard of this movie yet? Starring (if you can even call it that) Cher and Christina Aguilera? It's due out this Thanksgiving. Here's the trailer:
I don't really know how I feel about it yet. I mean, there's the obvious fact that it's yet another singer turned wannabe-actress, with the same exact storyline: small town girl turns rich and famous for amazing singing talent. Yay.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for happy endings, but can't they change it up just a little bit? And what's with Christina Aguilera looking like Brittany Murphy in the beginning? So far the only saving grace this movie has is Christina's booming, soulful voice.
As much as I love her voice though, this might just have to go on my Netflix list.
Thoughts?
-------------------------------------------------------
I am sooo so excited to see the phenomenal Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love this weekend! I really liked the book -not loved because it had its slow points- and I can't wait to see what the movie is like. I'm even more excited that C is actually going to go with me! And I don't even have to force him! In fact, he was a little upset when I told him that I'd be going to see it with my girlfriend...aww.

Wednesday Want It: The HoodieBuddie
Welcome to my new segment, the Wednesday Want It! This will be a weekly post about things that...you guessed it...I want! Because I have a long list, and a bday coming, and every time I see something I write it down or cut it out of a magazine or whatever, and then lose it! Like today's "Want It" item- it took me about 20 minutes just to re-find the site!
Anyway, today's Want It is:
Anyway, today's Want It is:
The HoodieBuddie
Why this is awesome:
- I love hoodies
- I love music
- I love monkeys (monkies?), particularly the Paul Frank monkey
- I am often cold
- I have a tendency to lose things
The HoodieBuddie (yes, that's the brand, I didn't make i up) has headphones right in the drawstrings for the hood, and connects through the inside of the pocket to your iPod! Which also means no annoying string bouncing around when you're running from one train to another (or maybe that's just me).

Monday Minute

Don't be strange. Don't be a stranger. Say hi to her. And while you're at it, only you can prevent forest fires. Have your pet spayed or neutered. Anypublicservicemessage...onto what y'all wait all weekend long for...THE MONDAY MINUTE!
What was your "oh no, I'm turning into my Mom/Dad" moment?
When I had my first job. I was getting to work late just about every day, I no longer wanted to open mail because of potential bills that I couldn't afford to pay, and I was eating out all the time becuase I didn't know how to cook. It was terrible.
...Not that it's much better now...I still don't know how to cook. But I am getting to work on time and managing my finances...for the most part...
What current commercial do you find the most annoying/funny?
Those Old Spice commericals. I hate them. "Oh, I'm on a horse, no, now I'm behind you, but now I'm.." shut the hell up! If you haven't been fortunate enough to see it:
If you could only eat one color food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Hmm...I love brownies. And turkey with gravy,...so let's go with brown.
What is your current Facebook/Myspace/Twitter status?
Nothing on Facebook, don't own MySpace, and Twitter says "Feist- I Feel It All #nowplaying. Happy Monday!"
Actually a really good song, I think I heard it on an iPod commercial.
F, Marry, Kill from this list below. Women pick from the men, men pick from the women.
Snookie (from Jersey Shore), Ellen DeGeneres, Betty White
Regis Philbin, Justin Bieber, Perez Hilton
Ugh, what choices.
I'd kill Justin Beiber, because he's more annoying than Perez, and Regis is gonna die soon anyway- he's ancient. Plus, it could save society from years of craptastic music.
I'd marry Regis because let's face it, he's gonna die soon, and he's rich.
I'm not f'ing anyone on this list. I can't f Perez because he's had his dick up too many asses and I don't want him messing up my ish.
Plus...um...EW.

Sunday Stealing: The Crafty Fifty Meme, Part One
Cheers to all of us thieves!
1. Introduce yourself.
My name is Dani. I'm a daughter, granddaughter, girlfriend, godmother, best friend, and procrastinator. I'm a Sagittarius. I live in NJ. Anything else you need to know, you can find on my profile or blog!
2. It’s Wednesday at noon, where are you usually?
Lunch with my coworkers
3. What kind of laundry detergent do you use?
Whatever is on sale when I need to buy it
4. What brand of shampoo is in your shower right now?
Pantene Pro-V Classic Clean
5. Did you ever get into a bar and drink before you were 21?
Yup. I borrowed my friend's sister's expired drivers license when I was either 19 or 20. It said that I was 26, but it worked! I think bouncers are easier on girls.
6. What countries have you been to?
Canada, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, St. Thomas, Bonaire, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, the Bahamas, Trinidad
7. Do you watch MTV anymore?
Yes, for Jersey Shore.
8. What do you think about Oprah?
I think she shouldn't have quit her talk show. I think she's had a lot of struggles and overcame a lot when she was younger, and those experiences helped her be empathetic to others, which was a big part of why she was/is successful. I think she has a lot of money. That's about it.
9. What color are your bed sheets?
White
10. You need a new pair of jeans: what store do you go to first?
Express.
11. Did you ever watch The O.C.?
Nope.
12. What kind of car do you drive?
Don't currently have a car.
13. Honestly, is that car insured?
Yes.
14. Do you like sushi?
Yes, but I'm a bit picky. And I only like it sometimes- gotta be in the mood.
15. Have you ever been to Tiffany & Co. or Saks 5th Ave?
No, but I would love to!
16. Did your parents spoil you growing up?
A little. I feel like your parents try to buy your love when they get divorced.
17. Do you like roller coasters?
I love roller coasters! My favorite is Kingda Ka in Six Flags Great Adventure.
18. What magazine(s) do you buy regularly or subscribe to?
Time Out New York, Woman's Day, and Glamour.
19. Do you remember the old WB show “Popular”?
Vaguely. I remember the blonde. I never watched it though.
20. When you go out do you prefer to go to a dance club or to a bar?
Bar. I feel like I have to be really dressed up to go to the club, and I'm too old to care about that anymore. I also don't like random guys coming up and started to grind on me anymore. It kinda skeeves me out now. Bars are much more low-maintenance.
21. What do you think about gay marriage?
I'm all for gay marriage. I don't think sex preferences should determine if someone can get married or not- it makes it seem like gay people are inferior to straights, and that's just unconstitutional- I mean, whatever happened to "All men are created equal" and deserve "the pursuit of happiness"?
22. Who do you think will be the next president?
No idea. I don't think Obama will stay in office though.
23. Are you registered to vote?
Yup.
24. Do you own an iPad?
Nope.
25. Is your bathroom filled with beauty stuff?
Haha, yeah it is- all under the sink though! At least it's somewhat hidden.

The Q's.
1. Do you think mustaches are sexy?

Damian Marley and Nas! Just last weekend, at the Brooklyn Waterfront in Willysburg- soooo goood!

Errm....I was too busy being involved in every activity/sport in the 80's...plus we didn't have cable :(
4. Were you named after anyone?
Nope.
5. When you buy new clothes, do you wash before wearing?
Only underwear and bathing suits.

Read...currently do laundry...watch tv...actually work at my job...
7. What is your favorite department store?
Tar-jay!
8. If you were to get Laser Hair Removal..where would you get it?
I would only get laser hair removal if it weren't painful. And, if possible, I would get it everywhere...armpits, legs, bikini line.

Saturday 9: Friends and Happy Day 7

1. How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now?
I can think of 3 good friends. 10 years from now, I can think of about 4 others.
2. When you look at yourself in the mirror, what’s the first thing you look at?
My hair
3. Who was the most recent person on your missed call list on your cell phone? What’s your relationship with the person?
I don't know the last 3 calls. But the 4th one is C...he is the boyfriend.
4. What did your last text message you received on your cell phone say?
"Ok, Got it!"
5. How would you “label” yourself?
A 20-something yuppie transplanted to the suburbs.
6. What was your favorite age that you’ve been?
I guess the one I am now.
7. What is your current desk top picture? What’s it significant?
It's a pic of me and C in Maui, HI from last summer at our friend's wedding. That was a really really fun time. And it's a cute pic! (thankfully you cannot see those hideous shoes in the desktop version!)
8. What was the last thing you said to someone that you‘d like to take back?
F u. That wasn't very nice.
9. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to go back in time and fix all your mistakes which would you choose?
The million. I think it would be impossible to go back and fix all my mistakes. Plus, without those mistakes I wouldn't be who I am today, and I'm not too bad. Also, I'd take the million so I can work on my future instead of going backwards in time.
-----------------------------------------------
I am very happy to be spending some fun times with my friends M and D tonight! I haven't played games with these 2 in a looong time and it's sure to be great!

Happy Day 6
Today, I am not happy. And it's Friday. That should automatically make me happy. On top of that, my boss, and my least favorite coworker are not in today! I thought for sure that would make me happy But alas, it did not. I am just kinda...blah. Sitting at my desk, watching the minutes- ever so slowly- tick by. I think my funk started this morning, when I missed two of my trains, and my bus, and arrived to work 15 min late. I haven't been late to work in a long time. Not that it would matter today, as no authority figures were in either, but still.
Hmph.
Anywho, this cheered me up for a little bit. But for some reason it always makes me tear up a little...and I don't cry very often. But I guess they are happy tears- like wow I can't believe these people's friends actually did this! And smiling! and awww I hope I have a goofball fiance someday who want to do something like this too!
Yes, I want a goofball fiance. Not rich, or trilingual, or America's Next Top Male Model, just someone fun to be around. Don't judge me!
Without further ado, The JK Wedding Dance:
Happy weekend!

Happy Day 4
Cicadas
"The cicada's claim to fame is its singing. The high-pitched song is actually a mating call belted out by males. Each species has its own distinctive song that only attracts females of its own kind. This allows several different species to coexist." - from here.
Their mating calls remind me of spring, summer, and the house where I grew up. For the first few years after I moved out, I was disappointed by not hearing their melodic calls, especially in the morning. But they are back where I'm living now, and this makes me very happy and nostalgic!

Happy Day 3
I really like dogs. But my favorite kind of dog has got to be the puggle. Don't know what a puggle is? According to Wikipedia, "a puggle is a dog hybrid, resulting from the mating of a female beagle with a male pug." They got the smushy face ...so cuteee...but don't look sad all the time like a regular pug. And they're more hyper and fun, like a beagle.
Forget Your Troubles! C'mon, Get Happy!
Here's a brief explanation of the Challenge: "Each day in August you are to post about something that makes *you* happy. Pretty simple. And, it doesn't even have to be every day if you don't want it to be. It's a great way to remind ourselves that there are positive things going on in our lives, our communities, and the world."
