Monday!

Questions:

1. How do you order your steak?
Medium well.

2. Are you superstitious about anything?
Yes! Black cat, breaking a mirror, opening an umbrella indoors, any Friday the 13th, and walking under a ladder are bad luck, throwing salt over your shoulder, knocking on wood...I think that's it. Oh, and bad things happen in threes.

3. Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)?
A

4. When is the last time your wore a dress (for the guys...a suit)?
Friday night- at my birthday dinner!

5. Do you have any trips scheduled?
Yes!! Trip to VA in January, Florida in May, and (hopefully...fingers crossed!) India in November. And a trip to Puerto Rico somewhere in there...

(1) Who is your favorite actor?
Ryan Reynolds, Matthew McCounghey (not spelled correctly....my bad), Hugh Grant, Paul Rudd, Gerard Butler, and most recently Javier Bardem...basically if you have been in one or more romantic comedies, you're a fave.

(2) Do you collect anything?
Currently no. But I used to collect stamps and rocks, both quite seriously. Liek I've mentioned before, I'm a super nerd. Oh, and also shotglasses (from different countries) and Pogs. Do you remember those?!

(3) What's the biggest turn off in someone of the opposite sex?
Cockiness. I really hate that. And yes, there's a huge difference between having good self esteem and being an a-hole with a big ego.

(4) If you HAD to change your first name, what would you change it to and why?
I would change it to my middle name because I like it and it was still given to me by my parents.

(5) What virtue is better: forgiveness or justice?
I would like to be a good religious person and say forgiveness,...ok, yes that's the better virtue. But personally I favor justice.

It's Monday

Questions:

1. What is your favorite kind of cheese?
On sandwiches, American. But love mozzarella and Parmesan as well.

2. What size is your bed?
queen. that's one of the best things about vacation- we always get a king size- more room to roll around!

3. What is your most overused phrase?
"Like"... very Valley-Girl of me I know. I'm working on stopping that.

4. Green or purple grapes?
Green and seedless.

5. Shower, morning or night?
I used to be a night time only girl, because that way I could take my time, and I love sleep in the morning. But now I always take a shower in the morning because it really does help wake me up. And feel clean. But I still wash my hair at night because it's thick and takes forever to dry and I don't like leaving my house with wet hair unless it's the middle of summer.

(1) Who would play you in a movie?
I guess Zoe Saldana because she looks slightly similar. Jessica Alba because she's goofy but sweet and cute. And hot.

(2) Are you a good speller?
Usually, though you would never know it from reading my blog! I'm not great at remembering to use the spell check. Usually when I'm blogging I'm at work (shhh!) so I'm in a rush, or I'm tired (like right now!)

(3) Have you/ do you smoke cigarettes?
Plea the 5th...

(4) Have you ever won a trophy?
Many (not to toot my own horn..toot toot!) I've won for dance, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, and tennis. I used to be athletic. I won a trophy for "Most Musical" in Miss Pre-Teen New Jersey. Oh I also won one for "Best Speaker" on debate team. Actually it wasn't a trophy, it was a gavel. Hahah.

(5) Have you ever written (or started to write) a book?
No. But I have considered trying to get one of my journals published. There's some good stuff in there!

Monday Funday

(1) What's your favorite fast food establishment?
Lately it's Burger King, but I like Taco Bell once in a while as well.

(2) What's your favorite sport to watch on TV?
I like football cause I can watch it with C.

(3) Do you like mushrooms and onions?
Umm...no.

(4) If you had to get a tattoo tomorrow, what would you get done?
Why do I have to? Am I going to die unless I get a tat? If so, then a heart with wings and a crown. Kinda like this, minus the skull in the crown:

(5) What are your thoughts on the female proposing marriage to the male?
Not for it. I'm all for a girl asking a guy out or for a phone number, but I feel that the guy is only truly ready for marriage when he does the asking. Plus, it's way more romantic. And I am a romantic at heart <3

Questions:

1. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
With mozzerella cheese and marinara sauce :)

2. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
No. I don't really feel like a house is decorated without a tree. We're getting one next Saturday.

3. What is your favorite article of clothing?
Hmm. I love jeans. And sweats when I'm home.

4. Do you pay your bills online or write checks the old way?
I pay my rent with a check, but the others I pay online.

5. Do you make Christmas cookies?
No, but hopefully I will this year! I just received an email from a friend for a girls baking day! Never heard of such a thing, but it also involves booze, so I'm in!

Monday Minute!

Link up with Christy here to participate!

Questions:

(1) What's for dinner tonight?
That is a very good question. Probably take out as C has to do grades tonight for his classes.

(2) Have you ever been stung by a bee or a wasp?
No! *knocks on wood*

(3) What time do you go to sleep every evening?
Around 11:30

(4) What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Choc chip mint, but only if it's green. I won't eat it if it's white. I don't care if it's only mising the green dye. So, if that's unavailable, I go for pumpkin pie (in season...like now!) or Ice cream cake flavor...with the crunchies. Or if I'm home, it's Ben & Jerry's...personal fave is the brownie sundae one.

(5) If you could have one power, what would it be?
The ability to (selectively) read minds. Not all minds, just tune in to certain people whenever I want, and have like a radio dial so I can switch the stations...That would be awesome.

Monday Minute & It's Our Anniversary!

If you would like to participate, please check out Cristy's blog here!

Questions:

(1) Have you ever been hospitalized?
Once. When I was in second or third grade, somehow I hit my head on the metal lock in the stall of the bathroom. I was a bloody mess! I had to get stitches in my head :(

(2) What’s the last bit of good news you received?
The date and location of C's birthday party...FINALLY!!! I may have been nagging him to set it up already- his bday is in 2 days!

(3) Who was your favorite teacher?
C :)
Unless you mean teacher that taught me...then it would be a tie with Miss Weber and Miss Mazzucca Mrs. Vigilante (she got married in between the 2 years I had her). Miss Weber was my music teacher from Grade 4-8. She was awesome- for some reason she took a liking to me, and I would go by her after school for long talks, and sometimes she would take me out for ice cream. She also helped me through a very tough time, when my friend told me she was being sexually harassed by her mother's live-in boyfriend, and he was sexually assaulting her younger brother. We still talk (though much less frequently)...we have been trying to get together for about a year now, but because I live so far away (and don't like to come up to North Jersey on the weekends), it's been a bit difficult.

Miss Mazzucca shares my name. And she was sooo upbeat and enthusiastic about teaching and psychology (which is what I had decided to get a degree in by this time). And I thought it was awesome that she was teaching while she was getting her Master's to be a guidance counselor (which is what she's doing now). And she was really pretty, and engaged (and later married) to a soap opera star!! (And there was a rumor that she was "seeing" the new hot Social Studies teacher...whether or not it was true, they made a very cute couple, and they were always flirting!)

(4) Do you sing in the shower?
Rarely. I'm more of a car singer.

(5) Describe the happiest day of your life.
I think thee day I started college might've been the happiest day. I would say graduating high school, but if I remember correctly I'm pretty sure I got into a fight with my mom right after graduation, and she made a scene in front of my friends (typical) and took my cell phone away.

So yes, first day of college.. or really first day I went to college, for a program called Summer Excel for multicultural students to get acclimated to college life. The independence was overwhelming....it was the absolute best feeling in.the.world!! I was so excited to start, and there were seemingly endless possibilities, blah blah. I remember arriving at night, a few days into the program because the program started before my school had graduation, and then I wanted to go to a few of my friends graduation parties haha. But I remember my new roommate and one of the counselors literally running to meet me outside and nearly suffocating me with hugs, which was so strange to me because I really only talked to my soon-to-be roomie on teh phone once before I arrived, and it was pretty short! The other people I met soon became my very close friends (at least throughout college) ....and then there was that really cute upperclassmen... ;)

Monday Minute + Weekend Recap

Questions:

(1) Did you play any sports growing up?
I did.
Starting in...well..."Pee Wee" I guess you would call it, I played basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, and cheerleading (yes, I consider cheerleading a sport. If you don't, then you've probably never done it, at least not competitvely!). By high school the only sport I played was tennis.

(2) Have you ever gotten an MIP (apparently people don't know what this is. I guess it's the dorky law school part of me, sorry! Haha...it's a minor in possession)?
Umm...no. I didn't know what that was until the explanation!

(3) Do you snore or sleepwalk?
No, but I do like to hog the bed in the middle of the night!

(4) Describe your last dream.
All I remember is that my some of my coworkers were in it. Strange.

(5) What's the one thing you've been meaning to do that you just haven't gotten to?
GO TO AUSTRALIA!
...and learn Spanish.
...and learn how to budget properly!

----------------------------------------------------------
Now Time for My Weekend Recap!

Friday: Got home about normal time after having a somewhat shitty afternoon. I don't know exactly what made me so...blaaaah, but having no one to go to happy hour with after work didn't help. Also, I got a call from a Blast from the Past...seriously haven't talked to this girl in months. I didn't even hear her voicemail until Sunday afternoon. She was calling me to "catch up" and be her "date" to a college young alum event in the city.

Ummm...what? I haven't said 2 words to you (and even that was via text) since July. And I was in a bad mood? No. Just no.

In reality, I didn't even see the missed call until I got home. But still, I wouldn't have answered. I actually stopped being friends with her years ago, but never told her. Why didn't I tell her? It didn't seem neccessary. We barely talked anyway, and that was only when it was someone's birthday.

Why did I want to stop being friends? Because I don't like fake people, liars, or traitors. Basically, it stemmed from my ex. We broke up, and people took sides. Understandable. But I (nor he) said that you couldn't talk to the other. That would be preposterous. What I didn't like or respect was people who would come to my side, badmouth him and listing all the reasons why he was a jerk, blah  blah, and then go back and hang out with him. Especially when I wasn't even mad at him/fighting with him anymore! I just didn't understand- it's like, umm were you not over at my place last week sayig how horrible he was? And now you're at his party? What?

That is not to be confused with the people I totally  respect, who openly would hang out with both of us, not choosing to take sides just because our relationship had ended, and instead investing in friendships with us as individuals, and not a couple.

But back to random phone call- I will probably call her today because I will feel guilty for ignoring her. Damn guilt!

Saturday: Woke up early. C had work until 12, so I was up straightening up, doing laundry, etc. Then he came home, we rested a bit (I think?), and got ready for the soccer game! C's friend from work invited us for the game and tailgating. It was the last game of the season- Philly Union vs. NY/NJ Red Bulls.

We were speeding down the highway becuase we thought we were gonna be late, then wound up paying $20 to sit in a completely empty lot. Seriously. Ghost town.

Luckily his coworker's friends found us (I still don't know how)...apparently we were in the right lot, but on the RV/Buses/Limos side! Ooops! The rest of the tailgate went well...I don't think I've ever actually tailgating...or at least not with food...before.

Of course security came over and told us that grilling was not allowed (Ooops again!) but they were gonna let us continue since it was the last game of the season! Sweet! The game itself was good- Philly won! I was surprised that I had never told C that I had been to a pro- soccer game before (Chelsea vs. Manchester United I believe, Meadowlands Stadium, 2002ish). It was his first one. Oh, and I saw a vuvuzela for the first time!

Sunday: Sunday went downhill fast. Over one of the stupidest fights evaaaaar! In short, C got really pissed that his mom ruined the surprise present she was getting him. But he got mad at me, and took it out on me. During breakfast. Which was absurd. I was really like "Let me get this straight. You are mad that me and your mom were conspiring to buy you PRESENTS?! for your BRITHDAY???! Are you serious?"

Yeah. He was serious.

Eventually, however, he got over it. But it ruined our pumpkin picking day. Our apartment is *still* pumpkin-less! He then got invited to the Phillies Championship game. So I straightened up a bit, and then got caught up in....

"Sister Wives"

OMG. It was a marathon. And I couldn't shut it off. FOR FOUR HOURS! Not because it was so enlightening, but because it was so dumb. It was like Jersey Shore- like a trainwreck you can't help but stare at in complete and utter awe.

If you are unfamiliar with the show (like I was before yesterday at 6pm), it is a "reality" tv show that follows polygamist Kody Brown and his 3 (now 4 after yesterday's wedding) "Sister Wives," and their 13 children and 3 step-children. They all live in one house (that was designed by a fellow polygamist), but 4 separate living quarters. The children were all raised as siblings with 3 moms. They were all home-schooled, but now go to a polygamist type of school with other "polygs." 2 of the 4 moms do not work. Kody is in ad sales, yet somehow can afford to drive around a new Lexxus.

During the whole show I was trying to understand how this lifestyle made any sense to any of the women involved. And then I was trying to make sense of how completely hypocritical all of them were. My favorite part was when Kody and Wife #1 Meri went to Mexico for their 20th Wedding Anniversary. She wanted to know how this lifestyle made sense to him, and what would he think if she had another lover, or husband. You could see the sheer shock and disgust on his face. Kody says “it is not something I am comfortable imagining. The vulgarity of you with another man sickens me.  It is against man and nature.”

That's interesting. And yet he says "love should be multiplied, not divided"...apparently that only works when the man is multiplying. Soooo sexist.
And then ...and this part REALLY boggled my mind...Meri has only been able to have one child. So as an anniversary present, Kody offerred her invitro.

WHAT!!!!

Oh yeah. And then he was in shock when she turned it down, saying that if the pregnancy didn't come naturally, she didn't want it. I'm a little surprised he didn't divorce her right then and there, because he did say he wanted more kids. Which also does not make any sense to me. I mean, how does one even afford feeding and clothing 16 (and 3 step-) children?? And then the time- between work and taking rounds with his 4 wives every night, when is there any time between "Dad" and the kids??? Yes, they have 3 (or 4) moms, but I don't see where there would be time for him to bond with his children, nor when he ever even tried to bond with them other than a kiss or hug here and there when he happened to trip over one of them.

Meri seems to be the only one with an ounce of sense though. I think she finally realized that she no longer wanted this lifestyle-especially with her jealous and "sharing" issues- but didn't want to practically pluck her child out of the family unit. The kid is also pretty smart- she decided that this lifestyle isn't for her and once graduating high school wants to be a doctor in the Navy. As in...wants to be a professional and not just a babymaker.
Christina, Wife #3, always wanted to be a third wife. When single men, even in her faith, would ask for her, she would turn them down and only date married men. She said she wanted the family, and the sister wives, not the man.  ...Hmmm then why get married? I mean, isn't marriage in part because you love another person? You are not marrying your sister-wives, you are marrying a man.

Or not.

Apparently Kody announced in on Good Morning America recently that he is only legally married to one woman. The others are "faith marriages" only recognized by their religion.

Interesting. Kinda makes the whole show seem like a hoax...or for money...or for Kody Brown to look even more like a careless man-whore.

Monday Minute...resurrected with Cristy!

Questions...

(1) What color undies/ boxers do you have on right now?
Black boyshorts with lace on the sides.

(2) What song have you been playing on repeat lately?
Grenade- Bruno Mars. I love the name of it (mainly because of Jersey Shore...I know, I know. Redic!) and I think he has a nice voice and good beats.

(3) What's your best personality trait?
Hmm...toss up between good secret keeper and being a goofball. I'm a great secret keeper because I usually forget the secrets people tell me! And I'm always a goofball!

(4) Are you a leader or a follower?
Depends on the situation. At work, I'm more of a follower. In my personal life, I'm more of a leader, always finding fun, interesting things to do and planning them!

(5) What's your least favorite household chore?
Vacuuming. It used to be dishes, but now we have a dishwasher. I cannot get motivated to vacuum though! Then again, I also don't like cleaning the bathroom...but at least that goes quickly. I don't like having to move furniture around or picking up misc. items off the floor to vacuum!

The linky is now closed, but feel free to join Cristy next week at Happily A Law Mama!

Monday Minute

Monday Minute

1 - Who is your favorite childhood superhero?
Erm. Hmmm....Huh. Don't have one.

2 - List something you have done for pure shock value.
Skydive. Not just for shock value, but that was definitely part of it! That, and I wanted to!

3 - What is the most recent thing someone has said/done to you that left you picking your jaw up off of the floor.
Well, I'm half Puerto Rican, and half Indian. When looking at me, people usually think I'm one or the other. So this one Spanish coworker came up to me while I was drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee. Now, I'm fully aware that this woman thinks that I am also Latina. And I know that lots of DD's (as well as Kwik-E-Marts) are run by Indians. So she comes up to me, and starts saying how much she dislikes DD coffee, because they make it too fast, and it tastes burnt, and they're not really listening or understanding to what she wants and....they put curry in your coffee.
Yes, still picking my jaw off the floor.

4 - Do you have a moment where you gained clarity about your life?
I have had several moments. I'm still learning and growing, so I expect many more.

5 - What are you doing to achieve your biggest dream?
Paying back my student loans/debts.

monday Minute and a Happy Day

Monday Minute

Who was your high school Sweet Heart?

His name was Frank,... or Francesco Racanati. Sooo Italian haha. But we didn't last very long, especially since we only got together (as a couple- we were friends from freshman year) senior year and he broke up with me when I went away to college. We're still friends though. I'm actually invited to his wedding next year!

What is your favorite vegetable to eat?
Potatoes. In mashed, baked, fried, and salad forms.

Do you plan on dressing up for Halloween, if yes, what do you have in mind?
I haven't given it much thought. Maybe someone from True Blood. Or Snookie. Or the cherry pie costume I bought 2 years ago and never had an opportunity to wear!
Are you a reality show junkie? If so, what is your guilty pleasure?
Yes. We watch Hells Kitchen, Top Chef, Cake Boss, Anthony Bourdain, etc. but my guiltiest pleasure is Jersey Shore!
and finally...

What year did you graduate high school?
2002

------------------------------------------------------

Today I am happy that my boss is back from her week long vacation! I thought it would a relief when she was gone (she's a very nice boss, but when the cat is away...!), but it was so SO busy without her here, that now I'm just happy she's back!

Monday Minute

Monday Minute
Don't be strange. Don't be a stranger. Say hi to her. And while you're at it, only you can prevent forest fires. Have your pet spayed or neutered. Anypublicservicemessage...onto what y'all wait all weekend long for...THE MONDAY MINUTE!

What was your "oh no, I'm turning into my Mom/Dad" moment?
When I had my first job. I was getting to work late just about every day, I no longer wanted to open mail because of potential bills that I couldn't afford to pay, and I was eating out all the time becuase I didn't know how to cook. It was terrible.
...Not that it's much better now...I still don't know how to cook. But I am getting to work on time and managing my finances...for the most part...

What current commercial do you find the most annoying/funny?
Those Old Spice commericals. I hate them. "Oh, I'm on a horse, no, now I'm behind you, but now I'm.." shut the hell up! If you haven't been fortunate enough to see it:

If you could only eat one color food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Hmm...I love brownies. And turkey with gravy,...so let's go with brown.
What is your current Facebook/Myspace/Twitter status?
Nothing on Facebook, don't own MySpace, and Twitter says "Feist- I Feel It All #nowplaying. Happy Monday!"
Actually a really good song, I think I heard it on an iPod commercial.

F, Marry, Kill from this list below. Women pick from the men, men pick from the women.
Snookie (from Jersey Shore), Ellen DeGeneres, Betty White
Regis Philbin, Justin Bieber, Perez Hilton
Ugh, what choices.
I'd kill Justin Beiber, because he's more annoying than Perez, and Regis is gonna die soon anyway- he's ancient. Plus, it could save society from years of craptastic music.
I'd marry Regis because let's face it, he's gonna die soon, and he's rich.
I'm not f'ing anyone on this list. I can't f Perez because he's had his dick up too many asses and I don't want him messing up my ish.

Plus...um...EW.

The Monday Minute- What's in a Name?

Monday Minute

1. Who is your "what-if" person?
(What-if person being what if I married this person or am now in a relationship with "this" person)
C.

Dani. Lil Desiqua (no one calls me this anymore, but I still really like it). Past nicknames also include Double D, Baby D, Mighty Mouse, Hard Core 4, Kameleon, and Raisinet.

3. If you could choose how you died, how would you like to die?
Peacefully, in my bed, while sleeping.

4. If you could have named yourself, which name would you have picked?
Hey man- you asked this one June 28! I answered it here. I would have chosen my middle name.

5. Who were you named after or for what reason did your parents choose your name?
I wasn't named after anyone. When I asked my mom, she said it was because it sounded pretty and like a good name for a beautiful little girl. Awww. Yeah, sorry I came out the way I did mama.

Monday Minute!

Monday Minute

Has anyone you've known personally lived to at least 100?
Nope

What material possession do you value the most?
Probably my cell phone. It keeps me connected. And pictures.

What do you think happens to us after we die?
You go to either Heaven or Hell. Or some alt reality like in Lost...

Most embarrassing item in your house?
Probably childhood pics. And my vibrator. I would be *totally* embarrassed if anyone saw that!

and finally...

If you could rename yourself, what would your name be?
Ha funny story...

In sophmore year of high school I decided I no longer liked my name and would like to be called Melanie. I told my friends and teachers. A lot of my friends when calling me would be "Hey, Da....Mel! Sorry I almost forgot!" One day, my science teacher called on me for an answer. I got it wrong. He told me that I was smarter as Danielle. I quickly went back to my real name, and haven't tried to change it since.

Happy Monday!

The Monday Minute!

Monday Minute

Time for another Monday Minute! Wanna play? Link up *here*.

1 - Have you ever had any feelings towards one of your teachers back in the day?

I had a crush on a high school history teacher. He wasn't even my teacher, but he was really cute!
And I'm currently in luurve with a high school history teacher...I'm seeing a trend here...

2 - What's the most embarrassing thing that happened while at work?

Having a pair of dirty underwear fall out of a pants leg. It fell out in the ladies room. I denied it was mine, but I threw them out later when no one was around.

3 - When was the last time you crapped yourself sharted?

A few years ago...at my ex's apt...while wearing his basketball shorts. So, so embarrassing. Lucky for me, I was already in the bathroom, so I was able to wash them right away. Obviously, I never told him.

4 - What is one thing you have always kept a secret and why have you kept this a secret for so long?

I'm not telling the secret right here, right now. Too much pressure! But I will say that I've only told 3 people the whole story, and I've kept it a secret for so long because 1) it's painful and uncomfortable to talk about, 2) hardly anyone would believe me if I did say it and 3) I am no longer friends with any of the 3 people I told...who I thought I would be bff's with forever, and I don't want to open up to anyone like that if they are not going to be in my life for a very, very long time.

5 - What's your best advice for us habitual coffee drinkers as to not have to poop right after drinking it?

I don't think there's anything that can be done!

Monday, May 24, 2010

Monday Minute!

Time for another Monday Minute with Ian! Make suer to check him out here!

1 - Do you *snort*?
Nope. I laugh harder when I hear other people snort though.

2 - Our friend has a nickname and it's Daffy. What's your nickname?
Lil Desiqua. Coconut. Cocobutt. Booty Buddy. Shorty.

3 - Do you know sign language?
No.
I did hear a really cute sign laguage story though. This girl came home from school and told her mom she wanted to learn sign language. The mom, confused, asked why. She said that there was a new kid at school that she wanted to be friends with who was deaf. This year, I watched as the girl signed at their wedding.

4 - What's a sample convo from your hood?
I would love to tell you, but in my complex it's usually in Hindi, or very broken English.

5 - Do you sleep with electronic devices - i.e. laptop, Blackberry, iPhone, etc?
Not anymore. I used to when me and C didn't live together, because I would wake up to his "good morning" texts every morning. I would sleep with my phone under my pillow otherwise I wouldn't hear it go off. Now my phone just charges on an ottoman next to the bed.

Monday/Monkey Minute!

Photobucket

Time for another Monday/ Monkey Minute! Wanna know more? Wanna play? Check it out here!

Monday Minute!

Monday Minute

1 - How much would you have to be paid to eat a human cadaver's finger?
I really don't think I would do it for any amount. Even if I agreed, I'd probably throw it up.

2 - Describe the worst physical fight you've ever been in.
With mom, dorm room in college, 2002. It involved wrestling, and I think she was trying to unplug my computer, don't remember why though. But by that time I outweighed her, so I won.

3 - Name one song that if you never heard it ever again, you'd be thrilled.
Basically anything by Nicki Minaj.

4 - Describe the "drunkest" situation you've ever been.
After work on a Thursday, 2008?, NYC, went out for sushi and sake bombs with some friends.

Thought I was ok, stood up, and almost fell over. But I had to make it home (at the time, West New York, NJ).

First, I crossed the street, tripped over the sidewalk, and fell, getting a bloody knee.

Somehow found my way to 42nd Street. Got in one of the dollar/gypsy vans, fall asleep.

Wake up back in NYC (yes, the driver apparently didn't check the van- I was asleep in the back and had gone all the way to NJ and back). It's completely dark, and the van had been abandoned. I have to pee. I start sobbing. Realizing that really no one is around, and that I can't make it out of the van without peeing, I pop a squat on the seat. The I try to open the sliding door to get out, but it won't budge. So (naturally) I karate kick the plexiglass, and hop out.

Walk about half a block....and realize I left my purse in the van. Walk back, jump in through the kicked out window, find purse, and calmly open the driver's side  door, which was left unlocked the whole time.

Somehow find my way back to 42nd St. Get in another dollar/gypsy van. Sit down, realize I have no money but think that hopefully they won't notice, and fall asleep.

Get woken up by driver, who asks for my money.

Not having any, I get out, and start begging in the nearby Burger King. It is approximately 2:30AM. Seeing my bloodied, mascara-smeared face, someone gave me a dollar.

I get back in the van, and (of course), fall asleep.

I wake up at the last stop on the van...a 30-40 minute walk back to my apartment. The bus driver won't drive me back- he says he's parking the van for the night. It is snowing. I call my now ex-boyfriend, freezing, crying, and in pain, to stay on teh phone with me while I walked. I got in around 3:30AM. Needless to say, I didn't make it to work the next day.

5 - What's your biggest regret?
Not going to grad school right after college. And listening to my mom when she told me that getting lots of credit cards when I was 18 was a good idea.

What's wrong with fake breasts?
Absolutely nothing. I've contemplated getting them myself, but I'm way too squeamish and hate pain!

List your latest run-in with the Carnival of Idiocy.
Not sure exactly what this means. However, if it means what stupidness people do that really pisses me off (today, becuase in general waaay too many things) it is stopping while walking in the middle of a busy sidewalk. Seriously people, keep it movin!

Name one thing you'd like to tell your ten year ago self.
I would tell myself to lighten up! Life/teen drama is really not that serious. Chill out.

What's your favorite word that's not in the dictionary?
Lumpkin (see also blumpkin and crumpkin). The definition is GROSS, but I think it's a funny word. Find out what it means here. And don't say I didn't warn you!

Why do fools fall in love?
Because they are fools! No no...just kidding. I don't think fools fall in love- I think everyone should fall in love at least once in their lifetime. Ahh, my inner romantic comes out!
