- C and I went to the San Gennaro Italian Festival on Friday night. It was a little rainy, which kept the crowds away. It was somewhat surreal to see the streets of NYC mostly empty. C's friend owns a sausage and pepper stand though, and treated us to some superb spicy sausage sandwiches. My mom came too, which was nice, being that she hasn't hung out with us in over 6 months. (Last time was for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. We haven't been able to align our schedules since.)
- Saturday we watched The Lion King in 3D. It was as fabulous as the first time.
- After the movie we went to the Mercer County Italian Festival (it was a very Italian weekend, as you can see). It was held at a huge park, which was cool. We walked around, got some rice balls, pasta, ribeye steak sandwich, and coffee. We checked out all the "chachkas" and historical war stuff inside the arena. It was nice to just walk around hand in hand, enjoying the warm evening. *There are no pics, because C didn't tihnk it was impressive or special enough to bring a camera...hmph.
- Sunday was very laid back. We watched the Eagles lose (what a terrible game!), went shopping for some necessities (and got my free VS undies- love coupons!), and then C made my favorite- chicken parm- for dinner, I suppose as a 2 year and 11 month-versary treat. Yes, I at least mention the date monthly. Does taht make me weird? I don't care!
- We also watched Alice in Wonderland Sunday night- the new one with Johnny Depp. C thought it was a remake of the original, but it wasn't. Visually, it was spectacular. (Good job, Tim Burton.) But I didn't like the dialiogue- I could barely understand what the Mad Hatter was saying half the time, and the storyline was- meh. It was definitely different. I think I'd like to see a remake where it's the point of view of someone else, like The Queen of Hearts, or even the rabbit. Just sayin.
- Today is not a good day. I keep thinking about the one thing that I truly do not want to think about. Also, I dressed up today and C didn't notice. Or if he did notice, he didn't say anything. That has been happening often lately, which I really don't like. What can I say...I like compliments! Who doesn't?!
- (With the exception of Saturday, in which he said ,"Did you put on make up and dress up for our big 'date night'?" And then later, "You have a big pimple on your forehead." At which point I said yes I know, but you could still say I look cute, and he replied "I was gonna say you look pretty.") He's so romantic. *sarcasm*
- I have been a bad blogger recently. But some things have come up that I am not ready to talk about with thewholeworldofblogging yet. Maybe at some point.
- Oh, I almost forgot. I learned what "dinkleberries" are recently. I really had no idea; C had to explain it to me. Don't know what it is either? Here is what Urban Dictionary says:
**Be forewarned: THIS IS GROSS!**
"a small piece of feces stuck in the hairs around the anus after defacation."
My education of this was brought on by this video on "Ridiculousness":
