♥ How long have you been together? 
2.5 years
♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating?
A few years. We met through a mutual friend
♥ How old are each of you? 
I'm 27.  He's 32.
♥ Whose siblings do/did you see the most? 
Neither! We're both only children!
♥ Do you have any children together? 
Nope
♥ What about pets? 
Nope, no furbabies either. Though I want a puggle!
♥ Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple? 
Work. Or rather my job, because I work so far from home, and commuting takes a lot of time away from our time together in the evenings
♥ Did you go to the same school? 
No
♥ Are you from the same home town? 
No, I'm from North Jerz and he's from Central. Big difference even though it's in the same state.
♥ Who is the most sensitive? 
Me.
♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? 
We get take out more than we eat out, so it's usually either pizza or Burger King.
♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? 
Hawaii for a friend's wedding
♥ Who has the worst temper? 
Him...DEFINITELY!
♥ Who does the cooking? 
He does, for own own safety! I'm a really bad cook, but I can bake!
♥ Who is more social? 
Me, DEFINITELY!!
♥ Who is the neat-freak? 
Neither one of us, though I'm the one who keeps things tidy and does the cleaning.
♥ Who is the more stubborn? 
Oooh that's a tough one! I think he is, but it's a close call. 
♥ Who hogs the bed? 
Depends who's in it first! I would say him though- he likes to sprawl out diagonally across the whole bed!
♥ Who wakes up earlier? 
Him.
♥ Where was your first date? 
Um. Our first date was when he invited me to a friend's wedding. But I left him after the reception instead of going to the afterparty...We had a rough beginning because he kept trying to date me when I was in a relationship with someone else!
♥ Who has the bigger family? 
Him - He has cousins, aunts, and uncles in the area, whereas mine are abroad and I only know one side.
♥ Do you get flowers often? 
No, but I wish I did! He was better at that in the beginning *sigh*
♥ How do you spend the holidays? 
I usually split them up- sometimes I'll go with his family, sometimes I'll be with my momma.
♥ How long did it take to get serious? 
Not long.  We started dating in October 2008, moved in together August 2009, and have been going on adventures ever since!
♥ Who does the laundry? 
Me!  He's terrible at putting them away though. But he does all the ironing!!

Easter Traditions and Movie Review

It's always just been me and my mom. I've never had a big family- my parents are divorced, I'm an only child, my mom had a brother but he's lost (literally speaking- we can't find him), my grandpa lives in Puerto Rico, and my grandma lived with friends and we were estranged from her until I was 16, and then she passed away when I was 18.

For holidays, sometimes we would go to my "fake" grandparents house (they were very close family friends) or other family friends. When I was in college and now with C, I would sometimes go by my boyfriend's house for major holidays. 

When we were with other people, the traditions were pretty similar-- go to church (if the holiday calls for it, like Easter), have "family" banter, and eat a big meal together at their house. 

But when I stay with my mom for whatever holiday, we had a tradition too. We go out to eat (usually brunch) and go to the movies. We would bring our own snacks, pay for and see some "fluffy" chick flick, and then if anything else was interesting, we would sneak into several other movies at the theater! Such rebels!

This year, we didn't want to see anything other than Water for Elephants. It's harder now that I live so far away from her- it takes so long to go and come home, and I have to schedule it with trains, which makes it less enjoyable. But we did have a lovely brunch in NYC, and went to the movies. 

I have to say, I had higher expectations for this movie. Had I read any reviews whatsoever, I probably wouldn't have, but I made a point not to check them out. There was absolutely no chemistry between Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson. None. They just weren't a good fit together. Pattinson plays a dead guy in those vampire movies just fine, but he's not so great acting as a lie person. And actually, the best character was Reese's husband. He was the most realistic. The storyline was unbelievable, I felt nothing for the characters, except for the elephant, and I didn't really see how the title linked with the story. I am kind of glad I didn't read the book first, because I probably would have liked the movie even less. 

The elephant, Rosie, was pretty flippin awesome though.

I know what some of you may be thinking. "But you started this in mid April, how do you only have 9 outfits?!" Honestly, I'm very bad at remembering to take pictures. And I haven't been sticking to my 30 in 30 (horror of horrors!) What had happened was...the clothes I picked for the challenge are geared towards Spring, and it got really cold there for awhile!! So I couldn't wear a lot of my outfits! But now that Mother Nature is back on track, so am I. And I will try to be more diligent about capturing these outfits as well!

Tunery Tuesday: A Mix CD I Found!

As I was cleaning up on Sunday, I found this old CD that a guy friend gave me in college. Actually, we were driving somewhere, and I heard Nelly Furtado on the CD, so I asked him to burn me a copy. It's title: "Non Hip-Hop Popular Jawn". Yes, Jawn...like "joint".

April Goals: How Did I Do?

1. Go to the dentist!
Went today!

    2. Read more.
        Joined PaperBack Swap and got a new book. Still reading "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

    3. Be more creative.
        Still participating in 30 in 30 and working on my own personal Home-maker's Guide.

    4. Remove clutter from my life.
        Done: washing all our throw blankets AND put in a vacuum bag for storage. And cleaned out closet!
        And started selling my stuff on Smashion! And updated my iPod! And organized pics on computer!
       ::Phew!::

    5. Figure out my future.
         I updated my resume, answered agencies that reached out wanting to know what I was up to, and  
         attended an events planning class. My next steps will be looking into some graduate programs, but I 
         think I made some good headway here.

X     6. Eat out less.
        I think I did this a little bit, but not to the extent that I wanted. Oh wells.

X    7. Open a High Yield Savings Account.
       I did my research and found a place to park my money for the trip. However, I have decided to just
       keep this money for now, and will put additional savings in this account when I'm ready.

X    8. Make a Budget (and stick to it).
       I didn't get to this in April, but I did it for May!
