Seasonal Goals Check-In- It's Spring!

You guys, I seriously can't believe it's spring, especially since I'm looking out at mounds upon mounds of dirty snow and still couldn't go outside without my puffy jacket, hat, and scarf. Le sigh. Anyway, it's time to link up with Steph and Sara for some seasonal goals. First up, a review of my winter goals...

Winter Bucket List

  • Go see the tree in Rockefeller Center- Nope.
  • Union Square Holiday Market- Nope.
  • See a play/musical on Broadway-Yes! I got us tickets to see Beautiful: The Carole King Story and it was so much better than I was expecting!
  • Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity-Nay.
  • Deck the halls- Yup!
  • Craft some stuff- Negative.
  • Go see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story- went with our favorite nerdy couple and it was AWESOME!
  • Have a holiday movie night- complete with hot cocoa and footie pajamas- Yup!
  • Attend a hockey game- My team didn't win, but it was still great!
  • Attend a holiday party- 2! Work holiday party and a neighbors' NYE party. As in, I arrived in slippers because it was right downstairs. My kind of party.
  • Go to a concert- I'm going to count this as a yes because Blue's V-Day present to me was seeing the Blue Man Group, and that was kinda like a concert.
  • Try a new noodle house- No.
7/12- not too shabby! Honestly I've already seen the tree and the Union Square Market many times, so I'm not mad that I missed it this year. And I realized after making the list that I didn't really want to try a noodle house. We went, and when we were almost there I just didn't really want it. (Luckily Panera was right next door.) Moving on, here's what on deck for Spring...

Visit the Botanical Gardens

  1. Your top 3 are on my/our ASAP spring list as well! If you want to double-date it, let me know! The Bronx and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are free to enter between 10-12 on Saturdays :) The Highline is pretty cool; we've walked a few brunches off there. Go when it's still a little chilly out; it gets SO crowded it's not even fun when the weather's really nice. I'm in desperate need of a spring shearing too, but it's such an ordeal for me that I'm starting the process of researching salons now and probably won't go for it until at least May.

  2. LOL @ spring shearing.

The best kind of parties are the ones where you can arrive in slippers.

YES to the Brooklyn Bridge. I loved that experience.

ANNNNNNND this reminds me I neglected to post my winter goals report this weekend.

  3. Ah, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE walking across the Brooklyn Bridge! One of my favorite NYC experiences! I have tickets to see Beautiful (touring) in May. Have mixed feelings about it. Glad to hear that you liked it!

  4. You did great on your Winter Goals! Nice job, girlie! I love that you got to a hockey game. I really enjoy watching live hockey games but my hubby doesn't so I don't get to see any. Boo! :(

    I love your Spring Goals.

  7. J and I were supposed to go to the Botanical Gardens last Saturday but ended up not going. I need to do all the NYC things... and then never do. I'm the worst. Smorgasburg opens for the spring next weekend though and that is #1 on my list this year.

  9. You did pretty great this winter! I wasn't very excited about seeing Beautiful, but it was in my season subscription, so I went and really liked it too! Frozen Hot Chocolate is one of my life goals. Your spring goals list looks good. I love when there's more fun stuff than chores/errands on my list.
